Metabase as a Data Source
Chris Hexton
Hey tom.bellen@aysling.com, thanks for the great suggestion! Would be interested in how you see the workflow here. We've thought about it a little — it seems like the way to do this integration would be to install the integration then use the Vero UI to select a specific "Question" (or "Card", as they used to be called) from Metabase and then Vero loads in that data. I think we could only really support "Table" visualisations.
Perhaps there's a nicer way we could do this?

Chris Hexton: That is how I thought about it as well. Our DW has all customer data, including sales information. Right now, our customer do a search in our system to create a list that is then pushed to a 3rd party. The search capabilities in our UI are limited compared to what a user can do in Metabase. For example, you can do things like exclude or very detailed sales info.
If your system linked to a question that would update based on the query, the list would update more frequently and allow for a far more sophisticated search.
Thanks for the reply.

tom.bellen@aysling.com: this is very useful and the context makes sense. So the dream is: customer can select a question and that question can then have filters, etc. that the user can use to define the segment/audience. We'll investigate further and come back if/when we have more Qs!
